Why freeze dried blackberries? Fresh fruit added to ice cream results in an icy mouth feel due to the moisture in the fruit making more ice particles in the ice cream. Freeze drying the fruit not only removes the moisture, it also intensifies the flavor, making an exceptionally smooth and flavorful fruit ice cream!
