How Our CSA Works

We have developed a unique four season CSA for foodies in and around Wichita. Find the details for each season listed below. Sign up for 1, 2, 3, or all 4!

Traditional Share: The traditional box is a prepackaged share picked and chosen by your farmers and ready to grab and go for 8 weeks. Full Shares will receive 6-10 different vegetables each week, with the aim to provide enough for 2-4 people. Half Shares will receive 3-6 vegetables each week, with the aim to be enough for 1-2 people. Number of people fed is an estimate, and if you really love your veggies, you may need a larger share!

Drop-Off

Serenity Farm utilizes one drop-off location in the City of Wichita, as well as on-farm pickup. This will allow us to have an expanded pick-up window not possible with running around town to multiple drop sites, thereby allowing more time for our members to pick up their shares. The drop-off location in Wichita will be Central Standard Brewing, located at 156 S Greenwood St Wichita, Kansas 67211 (near Douglas and Hydraulic). The farm is located at 3515 W 125th St N, Sedgwick, KS 67135.

Drop-Off Day

Every Wednesday for Wichita drop-off – the 2023 seasons will run from 4/5-5/24, 6/14-8/2, 8/23-10/11, and 11/01-12/20.

On farm pickup will be on Fridays of the same weeks

Drop-Off Time

Wichita pickup is 5:00PM until 6:00pm, on Wednesday at Central Standard Brewery. Farm pickup is 4:00PM until 7:00PM on Friday.

Cost

Full Share: $300 per season.
This breaks down to only $37.50/week.

Half Share: $160 per season.
This breaks down to only $20/week.

“The only truly dependable production technologies are those that are sustainable over the long term. By that very definition, they must avoid erosion, pollution, environmental degradation, and resource waste. Any rational food-production system will emphasize the well-being of the soil-air-water biosphere, the creatures which inhabit it, and the human beings who depend upon it.” Eliot Coleman, The New Organic Grower.

That was quite the storm last night! It would be nice if we could just get rain with these storms and NOT so much wind damage!!! We lost the hen house last night. However, no chickens were harmed. Three were trapped overnight, but all are well. Not sure they will want to lay eggs anytime soon 😄 We have a lot of large branches down too. Thankfully, the branch in picture 3 just missed hitting our house. Thankful for the 2"+ of rain, our generator, and no damage to the tunnels this time. Pray for the town of Sedgwick. The 70+mph winds that came through our area did a lot of damage. Whole trees just ripped out of the ground, powerlines snapped, and vehicles damaged.
